故事讲述秦桧（骆应钧）与妻王氏（柳影虹）受金人收买，陷害岳飞（刘江），高寒星（郑少秋）欲加相救，因而得罪秦桧夫妇，结下仇怨。金国公主冷月（邓萃雯）偷进宋境游玩，遇寒星，一见钟情。时宋高宗（李国麟）为拉拢高家，撮合寒星与靖康公主（谢宁）成亲，为冷月从中阻挠。柳残阳（梁家仁）为报杀父之仇，欲找高天晴（杨泽霖）报仇，天晴却为救钦宗而遭金人所杀，寒星代父与残阳比武，为靖康从中调解。秦桧毒计害寒星，残阳与文雪姬（王绮琴）千辛万苦，连手救寒星脱险，二人共坠爱河。高宗为除寒星，毒计令寒星受困于金国，冷月为救寒星而与他成亲，而残阳护靖康至，靖康遭冷月之金箭所杀，星、阳大为悲愤。。虽然渴望幸福美满的家庭，但松原淑美（黑木瞳饰）和丈夫滨田邦夫（小日向文世饰）的婚姻仍旧无可避免地走向破败边缘。经过一番令人精疲力尽的拉锯战，淑美总算取得了5岁女儿郁子（菅野莉央饰）的监护权。在此之后，母子二人通过中介搬到一所便宜、老旧的公寓，准备展开全新的人生。她们的生活起初充满快乐，但一切很快朝怪异的方向发展。莫名其妙的渗水、怪异莫测的声响时时刻刻困扰着母子二人，甚至郁子也开始出现奇怪的举动。似乎，有一个阴森的幽灵正慢慢侵入淑美母子的生活之中…… 本片根据鈴木光司的短篇作品改编，并荣获2002年布鲁塞尔国际奇幻电影节银鸦奖。。Greece, in the 1920's, is occupied by the Turks. The country is in turmoil with entire villages uprooted. The site of the movie is a Greek village that conducts a passion play each year. The leading citizens of the town, under the auspices of the Patriarch, choose those that will play the parts in the Passion. A stuttering shepherd is chosen to play Jesus. The town butcher (who wanted to be Jesus) is chosen as Judas. The town prostitute is chosen as Mary Magdalene. The rest of the disciples are also chosen. As the movie unfolds, the Passion Play becomes a reality. A group of villagers, uprooted by the war and impoverished, arrive at the village led by their priest. The wealthier citizens of the town want nothing with these people and manipulate a massacre. In the context of the 1920's each of the characters plays out their biblical role in actuality.。
